My personal approach to diet and fitness

I am not a large person (in fact I am quite lean), but for some reason this past year I gained an extra eight pounds.  I knew that I had been avoiding the scale, and the gym for that matter, but I was kind of in denial for a while.  It wasn’t until I went to the doctor for my annual physical exam that I noticed I had gained quite a bit of extra weight.  I could feel my pants fitting tighter and my energy levels decreasing but I definitely never attributed it to weight gain.
At first I was a little devastated.  It’s a hard thing to come to terms with when you have been fit and active your entire life.  But I knew that I would be able to shed the pounds eventually, even if it took several times longer to get them off than it did to put them all on.
My weight loss calculator secret weapon

This its your tool to lose weight with.

I was speaking with some of my friends from work over the water cooler in an effort to get helpful tips and advice on how to get rid of the extra couple inches I had put on over the past few months.  Of course I knew I was going to have to get back into the gym and start running during my lunch break again, but I wondered if there was anything I was missing that would make an extra difference.
One of my coworkers who is the most fit, active, and healthy woman I know, told me about tracking my weight by using a weight loss calculator.  I’ll be honest, when I first heard what she had said I had asked her to repeat herself because I didn’t think I had heard correctly.  At first I definitely thought the idea was silly– how would a weight loss calculator, basically tracking every step I took and every calorie I consumed, help? I felt like I would just get ahead of myself, assuming that I would lose weight at a steady pace every week.
However, I heeded her advice, if only to make her happy.  I used a weight loss calculator, which told me that if I worked hard and steadily I would be able to lose the eight pounds off of my tiny frame in about three months.  Sure, it sounds like a long time, but it is totally reasonable because eight pounds is a lot of weight for me.  Losing a pound a week seemed completely doable.
Well here I am three months later and I’ve actually dropped twelve pounds overall! The weight calculator kept me on track one hundred percent and kept me wholly motivated to work hard at the gym to not fall behind.  If you are struggling to start your weight loss journey or are trying to drop those last few pounds, try a weight loss calculator.  It could make all the difference in helping you reach your weight loss goal at a reasonable pace without killing yourself at the gym or the dinner table.

Protein: your secret to massive muscle?

Obviously there is a deep desire in every man to use the body that has been given to him.  I know that I personally have had this desire for most of my teenage and adult life.  There’s no reason that I can’t achieve these goals, but it’s extremely important to make sure that you have the right tools for the job.  Without equipping yourself with both knowledge and the supplements, workouts, and nutrition that you need, you’re not going to get anything done at all with regards to gaining muscle mass.

Building muscles with IsoFlex

This is my muscle goal.

Why do we value a strong body?  Maybe it’s because in the past, those who were strongest were most likely to survive the harsh climates and situations that pre-modern life presented to us on a daily basis.  Not strong enough to fight off that sabertooth tiger?  You’re dead.  Not fit enough to outrun a potential predator or enemy?  That’s right, you’re dead again.  In today’s society a lot of these dangers have been completely removed by technology, science, and our collective culture.  We have people that are trained to protect us from danger, and we have the tools we need to make sure that no one or no animal can kill us.

So, what’s the point of building muscle and perfecting your body?  It is our natural state.  We were BORN to be like this – all of us have just fallen from our natural state of being.  As such, we need to do some extra work to make sure we get ourselves back on track.  That’s where protein powder comes in.  Sure, you can lift all the weights in the world and eat well, but if you want to put on pounds of pure, raw strength you’re going to need all the help you can get.

There are millions of brands of protein powder out there as you might already know, but there are some that have been highly recommended by almost everyone I personally know, as well in the court of public opinion on review sites and sites like BodyBuilding.com.  The one I’m using currently is IsoFlex.   The best part about these powders is that they’re so ridiculously simple to use, even a cro magnon man could figure it out.  Grab some water, grab a scoop of powder, put the scoop in the water, gulp it down before, during and after a workout, and watch as your muscles and body overflows with strength.

Hydrowhey potein shake with fruit

Add some fruit to your HydroWhey for the tastiest smoothie you will ever drink.

Of course it’s not an immediate fix – nothing worth gaining ever is.  Using protein powder such as the popular HydroWhey is much faster than simply doing it through exercise and diet.  Consider protein supplementation as supercharging your diet for quicker and better results.  You’re not going to be sorry you tried it out when you’re suddenly able to lift more weight than you ever have been able to in the past.  You’ll be well on your way to creating the physique of our ancestors.
